How Does Your School Stack Up Globally?

October 14, 2011

The vast majority of American parents believe their local schools are good and that the problems in education are at other schools.   It’s as if we believe we all live in Garrison Keillor’s Lake Wobegon, where “all the children are above average”.   But is that true?

See how your school’s students achieve compared to students in 25 developed countries by using the Global Report Card.

For example, Bozeman’s students are at the 56th percentile (e.g., score higher than 56% of students in the 25 developed countries) in math and at the 73rd percentile in reading.

Isn’t it sad that we think we’re the best nation on earth, but our educational system doesn’t stack up?
