Join the new Math Circle in Bozeman

Get your middle schooler in on the beginnings of the new Bozeman Math Circle.

What is a math circle?  A math circle teams motivated and talented math students with mentors and guides from high school and university to focus on developing a love of math through advanced problem solving.  Kids have a chance to learn with others who share their enthusiasm for mathematics.

This is an exciting opportunity to explore math and build new relationships.

WHO:  Talented math students from Gallatin Valley who will be entering the 6th-8th grade in the fall of 2013 and are eager to explore math beyond the classroom.

WHAT:

  • Participate in individual and group problem-solving activities
  • Explore various math concepts and topics in depth
  • Attend cyber-based math lectures and discussions
  • Engage in fun and creative math projects
  • Prepare for math competitions

WHEN:

  • Onsite Meetings: 9AM – 4:30 PM on 6/24 (M), 6/26 (W), 6/28(F), 8/21 (W) (lunch provided for all sessions)
  • Online Meetings: TBA

WHERE:  MSU.  Onsite meetings will start at 9:00 AM in Reid Hall #425 (Computer Lab) and end at 4:30 PM in Reid Hall #124

COST:  Free

HOW to APPLY: To express interest and get early placing in this free summer program, please fill out the online BMC Application Form available via the Bozeman Math Circle (BMC) website by June 17th.
